What it does
- Run card sorts online (coming soon). Your participants sort the cards in their browser, and their sorts arrive in SynCaps V4 ready to analyse.
- Reads the files you already have. Studies are uploaded in SynCaps format: the format SynCaps V3 uses, and which several card sorting tools export.
- The charts researchers know from SynCaps. Items × Groups, the item and participant dendrograms and the rest, in your browser.
- Tidy group names from the chart. Merge names that mean the same thing, or set aside ones that don’t matter, by clicking on the chart itself. The merges are kept with the study.
- Participant analysis. A significance test of whether your sample holds clusters of participants who sorted the same items in materially different ways, and if it does, which participants are in each, so they can be analysed separately.
Your participants’ data
SynCaps V4 is designed to protect your participants’ privacy. Each study is uploaded either with your declaration that it holds no personal identifiers, or with participant IDs replaced by codes in your browser before the file is sent, so the key linking codes to people stays with you. All study data is held in London.
Early access
SynCaps V4 is in early access, which will be free, and is not yet open for sign-up. Subscribe above to hear when it is.
